Eskrima for Children

Eskrima Training for Children Of the many activities available for children Martial Arts can be one of the premium choices. As an extracurricular activity, some of it’s benefits is that Martial Arts and Self Defense training is not subject to seasonal scheduling and focuses on each individual child’s development. Martial Arts is also a very good example of goal oriented training, with a well established reward system. This is extremely important to children while they develop into well rounded and well adjusted people.

A Thinking Man’s Art

I once was marveling at the skill and prowess of one of my father’s senior students, I was just a boy at the time. I felt this Inayan Eskrimador’s power every time I worked with him, and I had seen him full contact spar many times. I’ve even gotten the bad end of that stick on occasion. As a boy I loved to watch the seniors fight, when we would do reflexive work I would step out of line so I could watch how the instructors would assault those that were senior and more skilled than I.
